Job Description
We are seeking a Supply Chain and Purchasing Professional to become a key member of a small team that manages the purchasing and supply chain of this world leading company, based in Swindon. ROLE SPECIFIC * Key member for driving the planning module, create purchase orders and record information. * To operate the Supply Chain ERP system, including but not limited to matching demand and stock; review and process customer schedules; set, review and maintain safety stock levels. * To provide control, KPI’s and management reports as required. * To create and maintain Supply Chain & Purchasing spreadsheets as required * To liaise with internal departments as required, resolve queries, and prepare for and participate in meetings. * To liaise with clients and suppliers to ensure requirements are met and queries are answered in full. * Support evaluation and review of stock. * Produce and promote the highest standard of work possible in accordance with the company’s TS16949, OHSAS 18001, ISO14001, IIP, Sarbanes Oxley, Lean / 6s standards and any other standards that the company adheres to. PERSON SPECIFICATION * A junior professional who would like to progress their career and become a CIPS member. * Detail oriented with the ability to check their own work. * Personable and able to influence our suppliers to meet our demands. * Experience of a recognised MRP/ERP software would be an advantage, ideally Tensoft FSM or Oracle. * Experience of driving a supply chain. * Experience of purchasing from external suppliers. * Can work collaboratively with supply chain partners and customers. * Ideally a desire to understand how the software in our planning system works.
