As a Shipping & Logistics Coordinator you will support the UK and German businesses, responsible for all export and
import shipping, procedures and paperwork.
I ndicative Responsibilities Include:
> Manage shipping process through Visual ERP
> Export shipment paperwork including: Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin, Packing Declarations, Loading Sheet
and Labelling as appropriate for all outbound shipments
> Manage transport bookings via hauliers own online portals, through email and telephone
> Liaise with customers regarding delivery bookings
> Liaise with customers regarding collections – ex works/FCA
> Alignment of Visual ERP to reflect inbound goods arrival dates
> Import Tracking – includes recording vessel and consignment information
> Goods receipt and booking in functions through Visual ERP
> Freight cost control and reductions through creating consolidated shipments where possible
> Working closely with the Buyer to identify ways to improve supplier relationships
> Working closely with the Buyer to identify and appoint new suppliers due to coverage gaps or poor performance of
current suppliers
> Working with the Operations Team Leader and the Buyer to identify suitable and measurable KPI’s for transport
suppliers
> Working closely with the Buyer to monitor supplier performance and take appropriate action where suppliers are failing
> Log product batch information, a critical element of company quality control process
> Daily Update Meetings
> Weekly Operations Meetings with RMP (L.B. Foster, Niles) to discuss upcoming shipments/issues/delays
> OTIF Report - Shipping Performance Report, reporting on the Requested v Actual Shipping dates
