Renishaw is looking for a Security Support Analyst to join our IT Operations and Information Security team. By providing and maintaining secure, available and efficient systems and equipment, IT Operations supports and enables our global employees to develop innovative solutions and technology for our customers. As the successful candidate, you will join an agile and friendly team that is developing and building out operational security best practices using industry-leading tooling and platforms. You will:
Responsibilities
Assist projects and deployments of new security tools and policies
Monitor security alerts – including suspected attacks, data loss prevention and exfiltration
Use KQL, runbooks and other tools for threat hunting and automating security event response
Assess and model threats, designing and running penetration tests and scripts to identify and document vulnerabilities, analysing test results, and reporting on system quality via metrics
Highlight and prioritise improvement opportunities and risk mitigation that balance security posture and workflow
Discover and monitor installed and cloud applications, feeding patch management processes
Ensure robust identity and application management practices, deploying SSO, conditional access policies and other technologies
Assist with integration, monitoring and troubleshooting of OT and manufacturing equipment
Maintain a current knowledge of developing practices, malware attacks, other cyber security threats, and available tools and products, and encourage continuous improvement
Provide proactive and responsive specialist advice and knowledge transfer to support others
Be an ambassador across Renishaw for physical, procedural and technical security controls
Your domain experience is likely to include
Use of SIEM tools for automated alerting, triage and remediation
Cloud security technologies and confident application of their capabilities, particularly Azure
Support of security activities relating to on-premises, cloud and web services
Familiarity with the principles and practices involved in vulnerability assessment, management and research, and penetration testing – e.g. as an ethical hacker
Education to degree level in a technical discipline, or equivalent recent relevant experience
Up-to-date professional cyber security qualifications (e.g. SC-200, CEH, CREST, etc.)
