Are you an undergraduate who’s excited by a procurement role that allows you to contribute to the world’s biggest startup? If so, the Global Procurement Industrial Placement (IP) Program at Haleon may be the perfect opportunity to explore.
Our Procurement organization consists of about 250 people across more than 30 countries, making us a truly global function. And our team does more than just buy goods and services – we help bring innovation and insight to the business which ultimately, delivers value to our consumers across the world.
Over 12 months, our Global Procurement IP Program will challenge and support you to grow professionally and personally. Our Procurement function supports all Haleon business areas, including manufacturing, marketing and sales, corporate functions, and R&D. And this range of support is reflected in the diversity of projects available to our IP Students. Whichever Procurement team(s) you’ll support, you’ll have the chance to put into practice the business skills you’ve gained at university, learn from experienced colleagues and network with a wide community of internal and external business professionals.
The knowledge and experience you gain will help you stand out from the crowd and give you a firm idea about your future career options. In addition to learning all about Procurement, you’ll develop core interpersonal skills such as communication, organization, problem-solving, team-working and stakeholder management.
We need highly organized undergraduates who can communicate and network with their own teams and with other parts of our business. Above all, you must have the drive, confidence and commitment to get the most out of your time with us.
What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?

Manage projects, prioritize tasks and build relationships with colleagues at various levels and functions of the organization
-
Support category-specific strategy development that brings deep insight and innovative solutions to the business to drive change
-
Support sourcing events (RFI, RFQ, RFP), including shadowing negotiations with 3rd party suppliers
-
Partner with business functions such as Finance and Legal to review financial proposals and support contract negotiations / revisions
-
Promote proper purchasing behaviors and support spend management
-
Engage in Supplier Relationship, Performance and Risk Management activities

To enable you to perform in this future talent opportunity:
Education required: You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You may be expected to provide evidence from your university to show you will be an undergraduate student for the duration of the placement year and they are supportive of your placement.
Written and spoken fluency in English.
