As the NMP you will work within our planned care team and care for those who are prescribed medication for substance misuse. You will be based on our detoxification wing and will complete 5 day, 28 day and 13 week reviews in collaboration with our psychosocial team and clinical team. You will liaise with our Addiction specialists on complex cases and attend our MPCCC meeting to discuss care plans for our patients. You will titrate medication as per a patients care plan, and work with patients to reduce their opiate intake. You will be RCGP level 2 trained and assist in supporting junior staff in working with this unique set of patients.
