Job Introduction

The successful candidates will have a keen eye for exclusives, brilliant ideas, great contacts, and the ability to write with flair. They will ooze enthusiasm, be dedicated and hard-working, and have a first-class attitude.
As well as being outstanding newspaper reporters, they will be terrific workplace colleagues. And they will be ambitious to push the boundaries for Mail+, our fantastic digital platform.
Main Responsibilities
- Ferreting out brilliant exclusive stories
- Building up excellent contacts
- Writing accurate copy, at speed
- Working closely with colleagues, and taking direction from the news desk
Applicants will ideally have:
- NCTJ or similar qualification
- At least two years' experience as a reporter, but we are also recruiting senior staff
- The ability to quickly strike up a rapport with people, in person and on the phone
- A sharp eye for a story
