Job title: New Business Property & Casualty Underwriter (Part-Time, Job-Share and Full-Time)

We’re looking for someone to join an experienced and successful team of Underwriters in our brand new offices in Bristol (some are senior, ALL are passionate about our customers; so much so it drives every decision and action we take!) As a New Business Underwriter, you’ll be analysing and underwriting new business. This means you’ll be in a Market facing role, it is really important to us that you are great at communicating and have passion for doing the right thing for our customers.
We’ll support and train you in all the technical aspects of the role and will make sure that you feel part of the team from day one.

So what will you be doing?
Well, you can expect no two days to be the same, you’ll be working with your team and reporting into the Business Manager as well as interacting with brokers and intermediaries daily.
You will underwrite new business adhering to Zurich’s guidelines and help the team to execute and deliver our financial plan.
We need you to provide a standout service experience for customers and stakeholders and be responsible for delivering quality and timely solutions for them. This means taking ownership of own workload and supporting colleagues to deliver our collective workload -it’s all about being a team player!

So what are we looking for?
You will have established Property & Casualty experience, we would like to see a proven track record of securing business, and what we are really looking for is your strengths and energy and how you can bring that to our business.
We will help you to extend your knowledge of the group risk market and products, as well as all the technical bits but you’ll already be a strong communicator who is able to make decision.
You will have strong interpersonal skills that can help us strengthening our relationship with brokers and clients.
We’d like you to be happy to challenge processes and decisions using your attention to detail. You’ll naturally adapt your style to different workloads and pressures and be able to think on your feet. Last but not least, organisation and the ability to prioritise is really key, our customer is always foremost on our minds!
