We understand that food plays an integral role in our resident’s day which is why we pride ourselves on the high quality service we provide. Food is a social event, we share meals with family and friends and enjoy the importance of this time shared together. We support that notion within our homes, ensuring, where possible, residents share meal times with each other, staff and visitors they may have. Our kitchen team are a pivotal part of this process.
Along with a central production kitchen where all our resident’s meals are prepared on a daily basis, we have satellite kitchens within the units of our care village. Part of your role includes, liaising with residents and their families, you will need to be friendly, understanding and approachable for all visitors to our village. You will need to be comfortable working alongside our elderly residents and understand their varying conditions such as Dementia. Our residents often have allergies or special dietary requirements or needs in regards to the texture of the food given to them. They may need a soft diet or pureed to accommodate their physical needs or diagnosis. Training on how to present these varying diets would be given. If you believe you have the attributes key to making one of our kitchens a continued success
