A British family is looking for an experienced Head Housekeeper to care for their stunning property in Essex. Separate accommodation. Driving essential.
The family have 4 children (ages from 4 to 16) and two dogs. They frequently entertain and the household is fully staffed with two housekeepers, a nanny and a driver. The family always travel during school holidays. The property has 7 bedrooms and is located in a remote village close to the sea. It is set in large grounds with one outbuilding and garages. There is a gym, wine cellar and indoor pool as well as a library. The property is very high tech.
The duties of the Head Housekeeper:
- Supervising the housekeepers, set tasks
- Training staff if required
- Scheduleing staff and cleaning rotas
- Assisting with hands-on housekeeping
- Organizing the household incl. inventories
- Liaising with and oversee contractors
- Overseeing any packing
- Reporting any issues
- Running errands and liaising with Private PA
- Pet care if required
The requirements:
- A min of 5 years experience as a Head Housekeeper
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK
- Excellent staff management skills
- Highly organized and well presented
- High end housekeeping skills/ knowledge
- Very good eye for detail
- Experienced in creston technology
- Written references from private employers and longevity
- Recent DBS security check
The family is looking for a competent Head Housekeeper who is able to organize and run the household well and without superversionl. A car is provided for work use. This is a hands on role in a very busy household that requires to assist with all duties and step in when needed. Accomodoation is an a spacious apartment offered in the village close by.
Hours: Mon - Fri 8am - 6pm with time for lunch, time in lieu given for extra time
Salary: £55000 - £60000 gross a year (live-in) depending on experience
