The Head of the Business Administration Department at Ashesi University invites applications for Assistant Professorships, or higher, of Business & Management.

About the Role
The Assistant Professors (or higher) of Business & Management (Lecturer or higher in the UK), will be teaching courses that include (but are not limited to) the following fields: Finance; Investments; Economics; International Trade & Policy; Entrepreneurship; Design Thinking; Marketing & Strategy.
The Business Administration department seeks to prepare students to help address some of Africa’s most pressing business challenges and equip students with the skills needed to start and/or scale up business ventures.
General Requirements
A Ph.D. with teaching and research experience in any of the fields above or a related field (a master’s degree with relevant teaching experience will also be considered for adjunct and assistant lecturer positions)
- Willingness to teach in a participatory learning environment.
- Willingness to engage in research and supervise undergraduate projects.
- Demonstrated capability in the use of technology for teaching.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Familiarity with the liberal arts method of instruction.
- Ability to design curriculum with experience in business management.
- Industry experience is an advantage.

- A one- or two-page statement of teaching philosophy and professional development interest, explaining the benefits of the proposed approach to teaching.
- Name and contact addresses of three professional references, of whom at least two can directly attest to teaching and student counselling capabilities or potential.
