Document Controller – Tottenham – Salary up to £40k + Package
A Main Contractor which provides Build, Special works and Fire Safety Services require a Document Controller to help set up and digitalise the DMS. This is a new role within the company and you will be reporting into the two Senior Contracts Managers. You will be office based in Tottenham and required to visit sites locally.
Responsibilities of the Document Controller
- Create document templates.
- Review, organise, archive and distribute information to project teams.
- Manage site files and folder and ensure they are kept up to date.
- Label documents for identification and reference.
- Liaise with project team members to ensure documents meet requirements.
- Take responsibility for receiving drawings, uploading them to the company server/specific job folder and if required print the drawings and distribute to project team.
- Check issued drawings against drawing registers to confirm everything has been issued correctly.
- Train employees on document systems.
- Adhere to and improve document control procedures.
- To work in accordance with all Company policies and the Integrated Management System (ISO’s, Investors In people and other standards).
- Maintain confidentiality when dealing with confidential documents.
Document Controller Skills Required:
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of operating IT systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and dedicated Electronic Document Management Systems such Procore.
