Job Description:

As the Communications Director, you will play a vital role in amplifying our mission, engaging stakeholders, and raising awareness about our services and programs. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team during a transformative phase, as you will be responsible for building the communications department from the ground up. We are seeking an individual who thrives on building teams, creating structure, and fostering a creative and collaborative environment.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a solid knowledge of outreach and education within our community. As an excellent communicator, you will proactively build relationships with schools, local libraries, businesses, houses of faith, law enforcement, and courts. By understanding their specific needs and concerns, you will develop tailored messaging and communication materials that resonate with each stakeholder group.

Your leadership will be essential in establishing a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability within the communications department. You will have the opportunity to shape the team, recruit talented individuals, supervise and provide them with the support and resources they need to excel in their roles. By fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, you will inspire your team to deliver high-quality communication initiatives that drive positive change in our community.

This position requires strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and a forward-thinking mindset. You will have the opportunity to create systems and remove barriers that streamline processes, reduce administrative burdens, and maximize the time your team can dedicate to direct client services.
