Puffin Solutions Ltd is looking to grow our team by recruiting a data cable engineer to report to the Engineering Manager and work with our existing teams. The successful candidate will have the following skills and abilities:

A strong structured cabling background
-
Familiar with the installation and termination of all types of copper cables
-
Familiar with the installation and termination of Single Mode and Multi Mode Fibre
-
Familiar with the installation and troubleshooting of telephony cabling
-
Familiar with the installation and termination of coax cables
-
Familiar with the installation of containment solutions
-
Experience with the installation of high end network and PC equipment
-
Experience with the deployment of WiFi hardware
-
Experienced with the setting up, use and interpretation of the results from a Fluke DSX 5000 tester
-
The ability to demonstrate good trouble shooting skills.

Able to work as either part of a team or independently

A good communicator

Good customer facing skills

An excellent understanding of health and safety practice preferably with either CSCS or ECS

A clean driving licence

Able to work in Europe without the need of processing a visa.
The successful candidate would be located in the Milton Keynes/Leighton Buzzard/Luton area however would be happy to travel and stay away. The successful candidate would be subject to a background check once working with the company.
