Reporting to the
General Manager – Customer Data, the
Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring that customer data for
Jet2.com and
Jet2holidays is of the highest accuracy and quality, and that the content and meta data of the company’s Single Customer View and Marketing Database is fit for purpose. As Data Analyst you will ensure the customer matching rules within the Single Customer View are being adhered to, reviewed and continuously improved. You will also make sure that the customer information is compliant with company policy and/or regulatory obligations and take the lead on testing any changes to the Single Customer View and Customer Data Platform.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Creates awareness of current data quality issues and impacts by reporting data quality metrics

Manages the workflows for notifications of potential matches and data quality warnings

Manages the work queue to manually review suspected duplicate customer records

Update matching rules based on findings from manually reviewing potential duplicates

Approve and reject potential matching changes

Manually link and unlink records
-
Create and delete records
-
Proactively look for and assess new data feeds (both internal and external)

Lead on any changes to the database including testing

Keeping up to date with industry best practice for MDM / data quality

Works closely with Marketing Database manager and the Business Intelligence data architects to manage the business data glossary and attribute standards

Provides recommendations for updating matching rules based on findings from manually reviewing potential duplicates

Define, maintain and monitor key business rules including: Email Standardisation, Telephone Number Standardisation, Title look ups, Travel Agent/Trade Booker definition, Golden Record definition
PERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience of writing queries in SQL
-
Understanding of MDM and / or Single Customer View database would be an advantage

Skilled in the use of data matching would be an advantage

Working knowledge of GDPR
