Job Description

The Digital Content Marketing Manager will create, curate, and repurpose engaging content that is on brand, educates, and builds connection with our audience and promotes lead generation.


STATUS: Full-time W2
LOCATION: Remote (Must be authorized to work in the US)
OPERATING HOURS: Core hours 11-3pm CT, 40 hours/week, with additional hours during launches (4-5 times a year for 9 days each time over a weekend)
SALARY: $50,000-60,000 DOE plus a competitive benefits package - PTO, paid holidays, health insurance stipend, 401k match, remote work stipend, professional development stipend, 2 fully paid retreats per year (one domestic and one international)

LS&D is a small startup organization that is 100% online and offers a career development program for career changers entering the field of Instructional Design (see description at the bottom.)

We are looking for the next superstar to help execute marketing strategy for Learning Strategy and Design. This position includes executing an omni-channel marketing strategy, both on and off social media. Channels include social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram), website/SEO search traffic, YouTube, Pinterest, and podcast/blog. This role will be involved with implementing a cohesive content calendar for all channels. This role will involve content repurposing, creating social media posts and stories, interacting with potential customers through social media and directing them to our resources, podcast management, and assistance with email marketing. In addition, this role will be responsible for producing marketing materials and funnels for launches, programs, and lead magnets, through use of a cohesive strategy that aligns with the business and elevates the brand.

The chosen candidate will be in charge of creating all external-facing visuals for the organization, in accordance with brand guidelines. If we have a presentation that needs a visual design or creative touch, this role will be responsible for creating that deck.

This role will work with our Sales & Marketing Lead on the technical execution of our funnels, and will help manage or launch events that happen 4-5 times a year (over 9 days.)

Copywriting, marketing, visual design, and branding experience is preferred. The ideal candidate is someone who is scrappy and isn’t afraid to learn the tools necessary to drive our marketing message home, has an intrapreneurial spirit and will be all-in with our organization as we grow, advancing through the organization in a mutually beneficial relationship. It’s important that you became a true part of our team as your primary role.

Responsibilities include:
Graphic Design

  • Creating and maintaining program brochures and guides for prospective clients
  • Creating branded graphics and presentations in Canva for various purposes

Social Media

  • Repurposing content into social media posts for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, video, blogs, and other social platforms
  • Grow existing channels and build new ones to reach new audiences
  • Creating and leveraging stories and reels for Instagram
  • Using Zoho Social or other similar tool to get posts scheduled
  • Promoting new content that is released on social media channels (blog, YouTube, podcast, etc.)
  • Keeping up-to-date on trends and changes to social media platforms
  • Running stats and monitoring the best performing posts
  • Executing content calendar

Podcast, YouTube. Pinterest and Blog Management

  • Editing and publishing of podcast with the assistance of AI tools
  • Promotion and growth of podcast
  • Writing show notes and creating marketing content/graphics for podcasts
  • Turning podcast episodes into SEO-optimized blog post with the assistance of AI tools
  • Repurposing of podcast into YouTube videos and social media content
  • Editing and uploading YouTube videos
  • Creating visuals and posting to Pinterest

Website / SEO

  • Creating and updating sales- and marketing-related pages in Wordpress (testimonials, podcast episodes, blog posts, media segments)
  • Optimizing all added website copy for SEO

Sales Support

  • Design of lead magnets, workbooks, and other marketing materials through Canva
  • Promoting consultations and sales for launch events and Applied Instructional Design Academy through social media
  • Include the hidden key word connection in your application video
  • Updating and editing launch graphics in Canva
  • Connect with our audience in comments and messages with the understanding that content and relationships lead to sales

Relevant Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years marketing,/copy writing/graphic design/content creation experience
  • 1+ year of experience using at least one video production tool (light)
  • Intermediate experience using social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube) as a marketing tool for content, engagement, and lead generation and familiarity with what works and doesn’t work on each platform
  • Experience with basic copywriting
  • Comfortable with systems and online technology / social media and current on trends
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Organizational skills, and the ability to time-block, prioritize and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Preferred - Bachelor’s degree preferred - though it doesn’t have to be in marketing.
  • Preferred - Podcast production / AI / SEO / WordPress / Canva experience

About Learning Strategy and Design
Learning Strategy and Design LLC was founded by Jill Davidian, CEO and 20-year Instructional Design veteran. We have a hands-on coaching and mentorship program called Applied Instructional Design Academy for new and aspiring Instructional Designers.
