Sahiyo U.S. Accountant Job Description

Position Description:
We are looking for an accountant who is comfortable working with a small but growing organization, and who can provide administrative support and financial expertise for the organization.
This part-time position will be for someone who can support Sahiyo U.S. programming specifically, though we work globally. As the position is virtual, the individual can be located anywhere within the U.S., but must be comfortable working independently and remotely. We are looking for a 15-20 hours per month schedule, for at least a 24-month period. The pay range will be between $18-23 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Create and maintain organizational operating and program budgets
- Maintain financial statements, grant budgets, and other financial documents for funders and fiscal sponsor
- Provide quarterly overviews of organizational operating and program budgets’ discrepancies
- Work closely with our Development Coordinator to create budgets for grant proposals, as needed
Requirements:
- Passion for Sahiyo’s work and mission
- Understanding of non-profit development methods and strategies
- Proficient in Google Office and Zoom
- Solid editing and researching skills
- Excellent communication abilities (oral and written)
- Ability to multitask on different projects
- Strong attention to detail
- Organizational skills
