Job Description

Are you an experienced account manager with an background in travel, insurance or banking? Want to work for a company that has an enviable reputation for providing Travel and Assistance Insurance services to some of the UK’s largest and best known corporate brands? Then read on!

Our close knit, experienced and highly driven Travel Sales Team are looking for confident and enthusiastic account manager to join them. Reporting into our highly regarded Head of Travel, Tourism & Leisure, you will ensure exceptional service delivery to clients and their customers, build strong relationships with stakeholders internally and externally and coordinate all internal department actions to deliver on client requirements.

You will coach existing and prospective clients on the benefits of Allianz Partners’ products and service, negotiating and closing for cross-sell opportunities. You will also develop strategic initiatives to drive product and service revenues for both the client and the business.

To be successful you will need to be highly organised and able to coordinate multiple tasks. You will have a natural ability to identify opportunities and the ability to pursue those through to business wins.

  • You will required to visit clients regularly so some travel will be required.

About the person:

Essential
  • You must have strong experience of account management within a travel environment however any insurance/ backing environment would be good!
  • You will have an excellent level of stakeholder management and experience to Client level and above
  • You will have strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate confidently/diplomatically at all organisational levels and with clients
  • You will have proven agility in managing large and small accounts, together with increasing client growth within a commercial environment
  • You must have the ability to manage the end to end sales processes seamlessly implementing new lines of business
  • You will be able to investigate, quantify and propose ideas and changes to maximise efficiencies both internally and externally
  • You will have the proven ability to manage numerous projects at one time whilst adhering to strict timescales
  • You will have strong PC Skills – including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook

Desirable
  • You may have Management / client report writing experience
  • Ideally you will have experience of regulatory requirements within the travel insurance industry
  • You may have advanced sales experience

Qualifications:

  • Good standard of general education (A ‘Level or equivalent)
  • Membership of relevant Industry professional bodies (CII / CIP) - Desirable
  • Degree level ideally including Business Administration, Marketing or other related discipline - Desirable

Hours:

Thirty-five hours a week. However, flexibility will be required in line with the needs of the business.
