Working with the Technology Director, the 3D Designer will create inspired 3D animations across a broad range of styles (from scientifically accurate, to cartoon style, for example) for a broad range of audiences, including pharmaceutical companies, healthcare professionals, and patients. They will be involved across the entire process from initial concepts, storyboarding, and hands on design / production.
Typical responsibilities will include
- Turning briefs into 3D visual concepts - some with direction some without
- Storyboarding and creating varied and captivating 3D motion content
- Managing workflow to delivery, and mentoring a team of four
- Working across 3D and 2D animation
- Designing to tight deadlines whilst consistently striving for better
The 3D Designer role will suit candidates of that title or potentially 3D Animator, or 3D Motion Designer titles. Experience and skills will include some or all of the following
- Expert in 3D motion / animation
- The ability to generate concepts from briefs
- Proficient in either Cinema 4D, or 3DS Max, or Maya; and with associated 3D tools
- Skills in Adobe After Effects, and other appropriate applications from the Creative Suite.
- Excellent understanding of core design and typography principles
- Great with people, with a positive and enthusiastic approach
The 3D Designer will be joining a skilled team of over 40 people, working for clients that truly change lives - from emerging medicines for diseases where no treatment previously existed, to technologies and diagnostics that will fundamentally reshape healthcare for the future. The role is flexible hybrid, working typically 9-5:30 hours, and the ability to spend office time either in the Manchester or Macclesfield offices. Laptop and Phone provided.
